In sworn affidavit, poll watcher says he personally witnessed voter fraud in Houston

A Texas poll watcher and retired cop says he personally witnessed voter fraud while monitoring elections in Houston.

In a sworn affidavit, Raymond T. Stewart alleges that he observed an election judge and staff use a stack of driver licenses to let people vote at a drive-through window, Fox News reported.

Poll watcher observes “possible voting crimes”

Raymond T. Stewart said that he observed “oddities” after he began working as a volunteer poll watcher for Andre Hines, a Republican running for constable in Harris County, on October 13. The Houston polling location where he was working had a drive-through window to let people vote because of the coronavirus, but Stewart said he was concerned after seeing a stack of driver licenses sitting on a table.

Stewart said that he grew “suspicious” that “possible voting crimes were being committed” using the unattended licenses.

“Staff would come inside from the drive-through voting booth and scan a driver’s license from someone outside and get a ticket and return outside,” Stewart said. “But, sometimes a staff member would search through the stack of driver’s licenses on the table, then scan it, receive a ticket and also go outside to the drive-through booth,” he said.

He later shared his concerns with a constable that he knew, Deputy W. Schultz, along with evidence, but says a staffer overheard them in the parking lot. When the deputy went inside, the licenses had been hidden from sight.

“Unfortunately, our conversation was overheard by a staff member in the parking lot. The Deputy went inside the polling location, but at this time the driver’s licenses were removed and hidden from the table,” Stewart said.

Stewart was then told to leave by the election judge, April Elmore (Gibson), because he “observed and collected evidence.” He also notes that Gibson refused to sign his paperwork when he showed up and that he was directed to someone else, who signed it but “not in the designated signature line.”

The website National File also reported on the story, with alleged photographs of the licenses.

Voter fraud concerns

With a week to go before Election Day, President Donald Trump continues to raise concerns about voter fraud, something Democrats have long maintained virtually never happens, despite evidence to the contrary.

Just recently, a Democratic mayoral candidate in Texas was arrested for harvesting mail-in ballots.

More than 60 million Americans have already voted.
