The abortion movement is “telling women they have to choose between their dreams and their children,” former White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders says in the foreword for a new book, “Life is Winning: Inside the Fight for Unborn Children and Their Mothers.”

Reject the double standard
“Life is Winning” was written by Marjorie Dannenfelser, president of the pro-life Susan B. Anthony List and prominent supporter of President Donald Trump, both in his 2016 campaign as well as his current re-election effort.
In the foreword, Sanders wrote, “It makes no sense that in the most prosperous and free country in the history of the world, anyone would still be telling women they have to choose between their dreams and their children — but that’s precisely what the abortion movement does.”
“When we reject this demeaning double standard, life wins,” she added.
Proud of the pro-life presidency
Sanders said “the pro-life movement in America has persisted in the face of adversity for nearly half a century,” yet despite that incessant adversity, has “never been stronger than right now.”
Sanders attributed a lot of that to President Donald Trump’s outspoken embrace of the pro-life movement, including his being the first sitting president ever to address the annual March for Life event in Washington D.C. in person. “I’m beyond proud of all we have accomplished together with President Trump in the White House,” she said.
“It was the greatest honor and adventure to go to work every day serving in the administration of a true patriot who knows that for America to be great, we must stand up for the equal value of each human being,” she continued.
The battle rages on
Yet, despite recent successes and the growth of the pro-life movement, Sanders revealed that it still faces staunch opposition and even resentment from “powerful elites who want to impose their radical abortion agenda by fiat.”
“Ever since this president took office they have been fighting to undermine and override the will of the people,” she explained. “They slandered and tried to destroy Justice Kavanaugh, and they attempted to impeach President Trump and remove him from office.”
That said, Sanders said that the “extremism of pro-abortion Democrats” and the “constant negativity of the media” is actually having the opposite effect — Republicans are united “like never before.”
This is great news, but it certainly isn’t time for those on the pro-life side to grow complacent. The pro-abortion lobby certainly isn’t resting and is primed, perhaps now more than ever, to try and impose their disregard for life on the entirety of the country.
