James Comey can’t stand not being in the limelight.
As part of his campaign to be the most sanctimonious public figure in America, Comey has announced that he has signed a deal for a new book, due in January 2021.
The book will be titled (with apparently no sense of irony) “Saving Justice: Truth, Transparency and Trust.” As a confirmed “liar and leaker,” one might assume that Mr. Comey might refrain from lecturing on the subjects of truth and trust.
Comey made the announcement on Twitter:
New book coming. I hope it will be useful as our country works — starting in 2021 — to restore faith in Justice. https://t.co/MGE9mI29wE

Some Twitter users were quick to hit back. One particularly cutting response emphasized Mr. Comey’s role in the shameful wiretap of Carter Page:
Corruption. pic.twitter.com/Y2Eh8nw5I4

Comey has made a post-government career out of pandering to anti-Trump twitter. There’s no doubt that he has a significant financial interest in his posturing – it’s all about selling books.
We’ll see how that works out for him.
