Kimberly Guilfoyle, President Donald Trump’s senior campaign adviser for the 2020 election, has a diagnosis for what’s been plaguing members of the political left. Can you guess what it is? Hint: it’s a “newly discovered disease with no known cure.”
If you said “Trump derangement syndrome [TDS],” then you’ve got it. According to Guilfoyle, TDS is what is tragically turning the Democratic Party into a bunch of “crazy liberals.”
Guilfoyle encourages young conservatives
Guilfoyle made this diagnosis during a speech at Turning Point USA’s Young Women’s Leadership Summit in Dallas, Texas, on Friday. There she addressed the more than 1,000 young conservative women in the audience.
“I want to talk to you today about where we are going as a nation, and how the women in this room, each and every one of you, and our sisters across the nation will help us get there,” she said. “Before we talk about where we’re going, and it’s a beautiful journey, let’s talk about where we are.”
From there, she went on to focus on some of the ways in which the Democratic party has gone “crazy.”
“Nancy Pelosi and the Democrats still are trying to decide if they’re the party of big city liberals or of big government socialists,” she said. “Mueller is riding off into the sunset, along with his bogus witch hunt investigation.”
Guilfoyle also highlighted how President Donald Trump has been working to get the country back on the right track, both at home, with such things as the economy and the appointment of two Supreme Court justices, and abroad.
“President Trump is taking on China and Mexico, who have been taking advantage of America for far too long,” she said. “He’s putting a stop to it and I’m happy to help him do it, indeed.”

Despite Trump’s — and therefore America’s — success, however, Democrats continue to contort themselves into nonsensical positions to avoid being in agreement with the “evil” president. This, Guilfoyle went on to note, is one of the major symptoms of TDS.
“If you’re a leftist Democrat, or someone profiting from the swamp in D.C., then you are forced into taking the opposite position as the president, no matter what, or how unreasonable,” she said. “Symptoms also include irrational, emotional outbursts — AOC — sometimes resulting in apparent mental breakdown.”
“It is crazy,” she said, and described how all the top Democratic leaders, from Pelosi to Obama, previously supported securing the border with a wall — but once it was Trump who wanted to build the wall, they immediately started “feigning outrage.” The political motive is obvious — they just can’t “allow Trump to deliver on all his promises” if they want to have a chance at winning in 2020.
“When you are wishing for a recession or for the stock market to take a dive, or even worse, for more criminal illegals, drug, and human traffickers to enter this country, I wonder whose side you might be on,” Guilfoyle said.
Hope for the future
Still, Guilfoyle encouraged her audience of young conservative women not to despair.
“Luckily, I see the solution in this room, because I know you’re all the type that will show up on election day,” she told the young women. “You show up to learn, you show up to work, and when President Trump is on the ballot next year, we will make sure everyone shows up to vote.”
