Trump slams ‘pencil neck’ Adam Schiff over role in Russia collusion narrative

President Donald Trump has two words to describe Russiagate peddler Adam Schiff: “Pencil neck.”

Trump bestowed the title on the House Intelligence Committee chairman at a private meeting with Senate Republicans on Tuesday. It’s a fitting epithet for the Democrat who has spent two years slandering the president of the United States.

Trump also put down Schiff’s golf game at the meeting, speculating that the Democrat wouldn’t be able to drive the ball 50 yards.

Trump slams “pencil neck” Schiff

Schiff was among the most prominent Democrats who have accused the president of collusion for the last two years. He stated repeatedly that Trump was guilty, without proof, even saying that there was “evidence in plain sight,” an obvious falsehood that he spread before and even after Special Counsel Robert Mueller finished up his investigation.

As Schiff accused the president for months on end, he occasionally incited reactions. Before the Wednesday meeting, Trump referred to Schiff as “little Adam Schiff” and even “little Adam Schitt.”

Now, after Mueller’s probe has concluded without finding any evidence of collusion, the left’s main narrative from the last two years has been blown to pieces, and those who pushed it have been exposed as liars and frauds. Understandably, Trump is taking a victory lap around those who ceaselessly accused him of being a traitor in front of millions of Americans on cable TV — especially Schiff.

The nickname “pencil neck” was coined by Rush Limbaugh. Trump used the term several times in reference to Schiff at the meeting on Tuesday.

With Russiagate in freefall, Trump is calling Schiff’s bluff. The investigation is over and Schiff has been exposed. With his credibility in the tank, what is Schiff’s next course of action?

Incredibly, but not surprisingly, Schiff is doubling down. Schiff won’t accept Mueller’s report, despite Mueller, who Democrats like Schiff once revered, finding no evidence of collusion.

“Undoubtedly, there is collusion,” Schiff told The Washington Post on Tuesday. “We will continue to investigate the counterintelligence issues.”

No apologies from corrupt Dem

With his reputation at a low point, Schiff is now facing calls from Republicans to step down from the House Intelligence Committee or resign. Failing that, an apology would seem an appropriate first step to rehabilitate his reputation. But he won’t apologize, and neither will House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, who put him in charge of the Intelligence Committee.

Not content with doubling down on lies, Schiff is doing what all busted fraudsters do: casting his critics as motivated by bad faith, shifting the goalposts, taking more drastic measures to find the elusive smoking gun (he threatened to subpoena Mueller), and even attacking a man’s good name — that of attorney general William Barr — with partisan smears to bolster his discredited conspiracy theory. Rather than admit fault, Schiff is spinning ever-more elaborate narratives to prop up his delusions.

“You have [an] attorney general who applied for the job by talking down any potential obstruction conviction or indictment who then went to a Senate confirmation and refused to recuse himself,” Schiff said. “He has now done the job he applied for, which is attempt to exonerate Mr. Trump. That ought to deeply concern people.”

Schiff may not lose his plum spot on the Intelligence Committee — an ironic job for a person who shared fake intelligence — but the Americans who watched Schiff go on TV to push this hoax for two years won’t forget it. Maybe when he retires from Congress, he can get a gig on Ancient Aliens.

“Little Adam Schiff” is full of it, and Trump knows it. “Pencil neck” is too kind.
