The YouTube censors are at it again.
In its most recent suppression of a viewpoint contrary to its own, the liberal platform has restricted a video montage produced by The American Mirror exposing the longterm relationship between California Representative Maxine Waters (D) and the anti-semite Louis Farrakhan.
The Video
Farrakhan is an American black nationalist and Nation of Islam leader who has frequently spoken out against the Jews. He once called Adolf Hitler “a very great man.” The video montage compiles clips of Farrakhan preaching anti-semitic messages over the years in which he denounces Jews as “wicked” and “satanic.”
Mixed in with the Farrakhan clips are videos, over the span of decades, showing Waters embracing him and appearing at events with him, demonstrating the close relationship between the two.
The American Mirror’s video simply lays out the facts: that a sitting congresswoman supports an openly anti-semitic man.
Surely, we don’t live in a society that censors truth, right?
Wrong
The American Mirror says they received an email from Google-owned YouTube explaining the decision to restrict the video. “Your video ‘Maxine’s ties to an anti-semitic’ was flagged to us by the YouTube community,” it read. “Upon review, we have placed restrictions on how the video will be shown.”
Now, in order to watch the video, the user must click “I understand and wish to proceed” after a message that reads “The following content has been identified by the YouTube community as inappropriate or offensive to some audiences.”

YouTube: Suppressor of opposing views
In the email to The American Mirror, YouTube representatives also wrote:
We believe in the principles of free speech, even when that speech is unpopular or potentially offensive to some viewers. However, YouTube doesn’t allow hate speech or content that promotes or incites violence. In some cases, flagged videos that do not clearly breach the Community Guidelines but whose content is potentially controversial or offensive may remain up, but with some features disabled.
In short, they say that they are all for free speech as long as they approve of its content. Of course, that’s not free speech at all.
It is entirely unclear how this particular video could fall under any of the categories listed above. It’s simply a compilation of clips from various public speeches and interviews made by Farrakhan and Waters — intended to expose wrongdoing, not perpetuate it.
Indeed, this act of censorship seems to be more about the liberal platform protecting a Democrat politician — Maxine Waters.
