Judiciary Chairman Chuck Grassley wants you to know that the FBI didn’t find anything new in their “investigation” into sexual assault allegations against Supreme Court nominee. Which, since it was a sham rather than an investigation, was the forgone conclusion.
xJUST IN: Senate Judiciary Committee Chair Chuck Grassley: “I’ve now received a committee staff briefing on the FBI’s supplement to Judge Kavanaugh’s background investigation file. There’s nothing in it that we didn’t already know...It’s time to vote." https://t.co/WYt3qPoao9 pic.twitter.com/1DcavKjZlF
— Evan McMurry (@evanmcmurry) October 4, 2018It caps the massive cover-up the entire Senate Judiciary Committee process has been—from the tens of thousands of documents on Kavanaugh’s work in the Bush administration that has not been released to the committee, much less the public to the dozens of witnesses ignored by the FBI.
Now the rush to vote—you’re going to be hearing “it’s time to vote” from every member of leadership today. They’re saying that because they don’t have the votes right now, and because every hour that passes gives another witness to Kavanaugh’s behavior the chance to tell their story in the national media. They need to hurry this up.
Don’t let them. Keep calling. 202-224-3121.
