Trump Just Made a MAJOR Decision About Gun Control That Has Left Republicans VERY Confused

While conducting a bipartisan meeting with lawmakers regarding gun control laws, the president made several remarks and statements that those Americans who voted him into office might find troubling.

From Breitbart:

After listening to Sen Chris Murphy (D-CT), Trump looked at toward the end of the table and asked Sens. Pat Toomey (R-PA) and Joe Manchin (D-WV) to detail their gun control bill.

The Manchin/Toomey gun control bill is the same universal background check legislation supported by Barack Obama in the wake of the heinous attack on Sandy Hook Elementary School. It the very bill that was defeated in the Democrat-controlled Senate on April 17, 2013.

Trump concluded the meeting by endorsing the Manchin/Toomey bill, and rejecting Rep. Steve Scalise’s legislation regarding concealed carry as being a non-starter when it comes to actually passing these bills.

What’s important to take away from this is that Trump’s now endorsing a gun control proposal that was first backed by Barack Obama. It should also be highlighted that even under Obama and a Democrat-controlled Senate, this bill was defeated.

Do you think that this will be able to pass under Trump and a Republican controlled senate?
