POLL: Do Violent Video Games Make Children Violent?

President Trump reportedly showed a compilation of graphic scenes from modern video games to entertainment industry executives during a meeting about the effects of violent media on teenagers.

Dave Grossman gave details on the meeting to the Washington Examiner: “President Trump said, ‘Did everyone see that clearly?’” Grossman said. “He played a video of a bunch of horrendously violent slashing games and then he turned to the industry representatives and said, ‘What are you going to say about this?’” The video game executives produced research showing that there was no link between violent video games and violent teens, which Grossman called “bogus.”

Is Grossman right? Do violent video games and media encourage violence in children and teens?
