BREAKING: President Trump’s Attorney in Mueller Investigation Just RESIGNED Only Days Before Questioning
Just days before special counsel Robert Mueller is expected to interview President Trump, the White House’s lead attorney on the case has resigned.
From Breitbart:
John Dowd, the lead attorney representing President Donald Trump in dealing with Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s investigation into alleged collusion with Russia in the 2016 presidential campaign, has resigned.
Dowd gave no reason for his resignation, but it came just days after Mueller had submitted a list of questions to the White House as the Special Counsel’s office sought to interview the president.
President Trump remains adamant that Mueller’s probe is a farce designed by the Democrats to hinder his government.
Nevertheless, the president has stated he’s willing and ready to answer any questions, since he didn’t do anything wrong.
But Trump’s lawyers have cautioned against doing so, and this could have something to do with Dowd’s departure.
