The Iranian regime is finding out the hard way that it’s dealing with a much different kind of U.S. administration.
At the forefront of resistance to the Islamist mullahs’ bloody crackdown on pro-democratic protesters are U.S. Ambassador to U.N. Nikki Haley and Treasury Secretary Steve Mnuchin.
While the Obama administration flew in freights of cash and wired back billions of dollars to the terrorism-exporting Iranian regime, the Trump administration has declared full-throated support of Iranian protesters clamoring for freedom and has now slapped on additional sanctions.
The U.S. Treasury Department announced the sanctions on Thursday in retaliation for the government’s ongoing deadly crackdown against protesters, which has killed at least twelve Iranian citizens.

Treasure Secretary Mnuchin said that the Trump administration “will continue to decisively counter the Iranian regime’s malign activity, including additional sanctions targeting human rights abuses.”
“These sanctions target key entities involved in Iran’s ballistic missile program, which the Iranian regime prioritizes over the economic well-being of the Iranian people,” Mnuchin said. “As the Iranian people suffer, their government and the IRGC fund foreign militants, terrorist networks, and human rights abuses.”
The Jerusalem post reported that the sanctions will target Iran’s Shahid Bakeri Industrial Group, which is “responsible for the development and production of control systems, fiber materials, solid-propellant and motor cases critical to Iran’s ballistic missiles.”
U.S. Ambassador to the U.N. Nikki Haley further scrutinized the Iranian government for its detestable behavior suppressing pro-democratic forces protesting the Islamist regime.
“The Iranian people are rising up in over 79 locations throughout the country,” Haley said. “It is a powerful exhibition of brave people who have become so fed up with their oppressive government that they are willing to risk their lives in protest.”
“The Iranian regime is finally on notice: The world will be watching what you do,” she continued.

As the Iranian protests continue into its eighth day, and the regime carries out its violent crackdown, the world is indeed watching. Due to the Trump administration, it’s not only watching, it’s also acting.
