President Donald Trump is proud of the economic success in his first year in office, rightfully so, and he’s not above warning the American people of the consequences should they give Democrats control of Congress in 2018.
In touting the record gains of the stock market on social media Sunday, the president told the American people what they could have expected had Hillary Clinton won the election.
“If the Dems (Crooked Hillary) got elected, your stocks would be down 50% from values on Election Day. Now they have a great future – and just beginning!” he tweeted.

Trump then cautioned voters that electing Democrats next year will “totally kill the great wealth created” this year.
He referenced other progress seen under his administration, from recently passed tax reform to better enforcement of immigration laws. Trump also mentioned gaining the upper hand against ISIS.
“Why would smart voters want to put Democrats in Congress in 2018 Election when their policies will totally kill the great wealth created during the months since the Election,” the president tweeted. “People are much better off now not to mention ISIS, VA, Judges, Strong Border, 2nd A, Tax Cuts & more?” the president tweeted.

The improved economy shows that 2017 is ending on a high note for President Trump.
The Wall Street Journal’s James Freeman compared the economy under Trump to the Obama years.
“Every year, when Barack Obama first came into office, his White House overstated, overestimated how the economy would grow,” Freeman said during an appearance on Fox News. “Now we’re getting back to real economics with people creating jobs.”
