New ad from Trump campaign highlights Joe Biden’s alleged use of a teleprompter: Report

A new ad from President Donald Trump’s campaign team totally humiliates Democrat White House hopeful Joe Biden on the issue of teleprompters.

Speculation has swirled in recent weeks that Biden relies on a teleprompter during TV interviews. Now, according to Breitbart, Team Trump is cashing in on the controversy.

“Let’s move it up here”

As reported by Breitbart, the ad begins with a clip of Fox News personality Bret Baier asking Biden’s national campaign press secretary, TJ Ducklo, if the candidate has ever used a teleprompter “during local interviews or to answer [questions] with supporters.”

It then cuts to a voter asking a question of a tired-looking Biden. The former vice president responds by saying, “Let’s move it up here,” suggesting that he needs a staff member to bring up the answer on-screen.

The ad then cuts to Biden standing at a podium in his basement. As he speaks, Biden can be seen motioning upward with his right hand, as if he needs someone to scroll up.

In another scene, Biden appears to be reading from a script about mask usage, making several verbal gaffes in the process. That clip is followed by another of Biden holding up a framed photograph of himself and his two sons. What appears to be a teleprompter can be seen in a reflection on the glass.

“How far will they go?”

The ad then cuts back to Ducklo sounding flustered with Baier’s teleprompter question, accusing the anchor trying to “distract the American people.” When Baier presses Ducklo to say definitively “yes or no,” the Biden spokesman refuses to give an answer.

“Is this someone you can count on in a crisis?” the ad asks viewers. “How far will they go to hide the truth?”

“It’s obvious”

In its own report on the ad, Breitbart noted that Trump brought up the teleprompter issue with Fox News host Sean Hannity earlier this month. “I think the media is disgracing themselves,” the president said. “But it’s obvious that Joe is reading the answers off a teleprompter in many cases.”

Trump’s comments come in the wake of repeated missteps and gaffes by Biden that have peppered his campaign since he first entered the presidential race last year. Examples include the former VP telling supporters that he is seeking a seat in the U.S. Senate, forgetting what state he is in, and even confusing his wife with his sister.
